Beacon Wrist Strap

The magnetic + small tab fixation is nowhere near secure enough. It fell off twice while skiing, i was lucky to notice and find it, after second time it went into zipped pocket instead of the strap. Strap velcro had to be twisted in order for both sides of the strap be attached to each other. Frankly, I'm either missing something (unlikely with 30+ years in engineering) or this is an unfinished prototype brought to market. If I was skiing in deep snow I would not have found lost beacon for absolute sure.

The Beacon dislodged from the strap almost immediately when I started turning. The Hover and the Beacon remained on the run while I continued skiing. I was able to locate them in the lift going up and retrieved them while skiing down. Thankfully no one skied over them or stole them. As an aside, the Beacon clip works better at securing the Beacon but it often results in the Beacon and Hover disconnecting from each other.

The Beacon Wrist Strap is an excellent accessory, and provides another method of carrying the Beacon. It is easy to attach to the wrist and easy to adjust. I am quite happy with it and the HoverAir X1 ProMax that I purchased. Really enjoying what this sophisticated and truly remarkable flying camera can do!

I have large wrists so I was a bit concerned when purchasing this item, but there was no problem with the fit. It’s very convenient to have your beacon on your wrist and wear it like a watch. It does help if you hold up your wrist when talking when using the microphone in the beacon. The wrist strap is very comfortable to wear.
